url for hp sound drivers

I had a situation in whihc I was loading an older version of Windows 7 onto an HP workstation and needed quiate a lot of drivers > chipset, SATA, USB and so on. The best solution I found was to go to >

>which you may have seen, and enter the product number. When I did this for "z420" it delivered a package of all the drivers for the system- I think it was 340MB.
Don't be shy to call HP support on their 800 number if you're in the US. I spoke with them only yesterday and the fellow was the most knowledgable I'd ever spoken with.
If that is unsuccessful, you can try going to the maker of the soundcard or even the integrated sound. You can find the maker in Device Manager. A lot of boards have Realtek and it might be possible to download thier latest directly, or even just use Device Manager to find it for you.
