Can you create a cable that is digital coax ( like an RCA type plug) at one end, and bare speaker wire at the other? Have a system that has a subwoofer output ( digital coax ) and have a subwoofer that takes bare speaker wire. Is there a way to make this work? Thanks

Solution
The problem is not the wire. If the coax connection you are talking about is a "sub" out then it is an RCA analog line out not digital. If your sub has speaker wire connections on it and no power cord then it does not have an amplifier in it which it needs. If sounds like you need an amplifier to drive the sub and an audio cable.
