which is better?gaming laptop?

I've been shopping for a gaming laptop for awhile now, I already on a desktop. But since I can not taste test or try out these laptop before I order them, I figure some else may have it and give me some feed back or some information. I was looking at the Lenovo Y510P or the Asus Q550LF. I hoping to get a laptop that has a backlit keyboard and will not die in less than three hours. Weight isnt important nor is touch screen abilities. I would like to not spend more than a grand not counting tax. I would like it to be able to play titanfall at high to medium settings with a decent frame rate and maybe dark souls only maybe. Also if you have any better laptop in mind i'm open for suggestions.

well besides battery power witch is better fps with good refresh rates, i dont wanna lose a flawless due to lag or something

If you're considering gaming on battery power, I think you'll be disappointed here. Once the GPU kicks into high gear (most decent games will cause that), you'll have up to (likely no more than) 20 minutes before your battery is depleted... in order to game for any length of time, you're going to need an outside power source
When laptop manufacturers list battery run times, the times are with the computer doing next to nothing... once you start adding tasks for the computer to do, the battery time starts going down from that, the more intensive the task, the faster the battery goes
Of the two laptops listed, I like the Lenovo.

the lenovo has a stronger cpu and gpu. Also if youre doing hardcore gaming you probably dont want to play on the battery. Quick drains damage the battery. I learned the hard way. My battery wear after a year of gaming on my battery was over 40%.

Lenovo would be faster, but I am not sure if you'll be able to play demanding games on High settings, Medium should be OK for most of them though. The 750M card is in the lower end of gaming video cards although over the minimum requirements for Titanfall, it's not big enough to new games on High.
