I have a laptop that is nearly 8 years old and I intend on running a server off of it like another old machine I have. The problem is that it is very weak. It struggles to maintain 1 player on a Left 4 Dead 2 Dedicated server. The specs follow:
- 1.2 GHz Centrino Duo processor
- 2 gb DDR2 RAM
- 60gb HDD
- Windows XP SP3
What I need to know is if there are any games worth hosting on such a system. People have suggested that I could use it as a web server but I don't want to spend money on a domain name although I can do web programming.
