Laptop screen damage repair

Hi all, recently my son stood on my laptop which I stupidly left on the floor. The screen is now damaged and I'm looking in to how expensive this may be to repair.

Is it likely this is just the screen and I can buy a new one for £40ish?

Or is it likely something underneath the screen etc? I've never tried any form of laptop hardware repair - only desktop so this is a bit of a different field for me!

Yeap, screen is gone. You will need a new one. It's quite easy to replace it. Be sure that you got a right one for your lap.

You will get just screen, screwdrivers you need to get it for yourself.
It's a good idea to follow this link, take down lcd panel, look model number to be sure to get right one or right one replacement.

Ive personaly never been able to get it quiet right myslef.
Infuriates me if i get any dust trapped in it, whether its a screen or screen cover.
And also watch out for fakes on ebay an such.

Saying that i have brought a few RAM upgrades for my laptop ok off ebay.
It was a while ago but i sent my last laptop that needed a new screen to Laptop Doctor. But there are probably other similar around.
Maybe ill try repairing another myself, if i can make a dust free canopy lol
