#3 Sony (you are being sold the name and its light weight. Not a big fan of their overpriced components)

Note that these machines are not light weight >8lbs

In terms of quality, Sony is number 1, and Asus and Lenovo are both tied for second.

Overall, I would go for the Lenovo. It is a great deal for the price, and its very powerful. I own the old y580 (3rd gen i7) and I have really like it.
