Hi! I have dual AsusVS248 monitors for my Win7 desktop computer. I also have a Gigabyte p34g laptop. When I connect my laptop by HDMI to one of the monitors, the black levels of the monitor get much worse. I tested it by opening the same black image on both the desktop and laptop. I had the desktop use dvi to display and the laptop use hdmi to display to the same monitor. Switching inputs from dvi to hdmi made the picture much "greyer".

I don't know what's going on????? Do any of you have ideas?

P.S. I'm trying to play coop minecraft with the 2 monitors, so I want the image quality to be the same on both. Thanks

maybe it's the laptop then and not the cable. most graphics control panels have all kinds of features in them for overscan, color correction, etc. play around with those maybe.
