Does the headset use 1 3.5mm jack for both mic and audio? If so you need one of these http

The plug is a 3.5mm TRRS which goes into the headset and the other plug at the end of the cord is a 3.5mm TRS, so i sorta thought i needed a dual 3.5mm TRRS with splitter in order to get it work with a pc.
