Hi people,
I am having a very frustrating problem here. Last night i dissasembled my toshiba satellite to apply some paste on my CPU and after putting everything back together my laptop decided to stop functioning.
I turn it on, there is no display only the sound of the system powering up, and in some seconds it turns off again!
Ive tried up to now:
Removing battery/ram/hd/cdrom in all combinations, unplugging battery/power supply and pressing power button for a minute+ to reset the cmos battery, plugging hdmi for second display and pretty much everything possible! My one mistake was putting more paste than needed but latet i wiped it off.
Does anyone maybe have qnother proposal? I need to submit a school paper on monday and im very annoyed by this..
Also everything is placed correctly and i didnt damage my cpu other than a bit of dust which i got rid of carefully.

thank you for replying, weirdly i didnt have any email notifications for this.
I reopened the case, removed the excess paste carefully and put everything back in but to no avail.
I didnt use anything to clean it, only my credit card but the old paste wiped off very easily and left nothing behind.
hsf and cpu seemed clean after i put everything back but the same turning off occurs up to now.
Im not sure what else to try!
