Hey, Forum Goers! I'm in much need of assistance in-finding a laptop that'll fit a few specification/requirements that I have. I've asked a few friends and they didn't recommend anything specially, but they all have said to avoid Alienware. So, I'm here to ask for a little help. I really don't have many requirements that are detail-oriented. They're basically broad/specifically generalized. The laptop will be needed throughout college; I've decided to finish my Art Education degree since my discharge from the Army.
The first requirement would be gaming. I like to play MMOs for a few minimal hours a day, and I really like my Steam collection as well. The laptop must be able to play Guildwars 2 in high-settings. I also would like to play newer games as well. (Loadout, Wildstar, EQN, etc.) So, in my free time, I'd like to be able to log an hour or two into a game is what I'm saying here.
The second requirement would be about school. I'd a laptop with a great storage device for any and all files I will be dealing with while returning to college. As well as room for all my portfolios/fan art, etc.
Art brings me to my final requirement, Tablet Support. My older PCs/Laptops did not have support for my Wacom Drawing Tablets. I don't specifically specialize in digital art, but I have been having fun with it in the past year.
Annnnnnd... that's about it really. The OS doesn't really matter for me 7 or 8 are just fine. I don't really like Macs at all, so I'd like to avoid any suggestions with Apple in mind. I think I covered everything I was thinking of during work today. If not, we can hash things out if any of you have the time and are so kind as to deal with me. Haha.
Thanks so much for reading, I'll monitor responses pretty late into the night since I have no engagements tomorrow. I'll keep constantly thanking people for any and all help because I have this mouth disease where I say "sorry" and "thanks" a million times.
Edit 1: I just thought of adding that I'd really prefer something that won't get hot and die within 6 months, and something with a nice battery life.
Edit 2: Back again, just realized it may be a little hard to find a pre-built laptop with said specifications. If so, I'm up for recommendations for websites that would build me one based on what I've written above. If you have a site like that at hand, please link it with a nice description of their services. (Last time I had something built was a terrible experience when looking for replacement parts.)
Edit 3: I should mention, I suppose, that I draw with Paint Tool SAI, Krita, and Photoshop. My old PC lagged in PS and couldn't even run Krita, so I also have to keep that in mind.
