no, and yes, and maybe. your SD card is probably formatted as a FAT32 file system. Files deleted can be 'undeleted' until they are overwritten. Once the space is used again the files are obviously destroyed. View the format of the SD card and if it is a FAT format look for any DOS undelete utility.
if it is an NTFS or other I've never spent time trying to recover from those as, I'm surprised to say this I've never lost anything by deletion that I needed to recover in quite some time.
Backups are more than just your friend.
