I just purchased a Samsung 55" LED Smart TV, and I am trying to hook up my RCA Sound bar. I have the Optical Cable and have it hooked up to my tv and soundbar. I have switched my tv to external speaker and all I get throught the sound bar is static.????

In the audio menu of the TV you need to change the output type. The choices should be Dolby or PCM. Change it to the one that is not selected.
