I purchased an Acer Aspire 7551-7422 laptop two years ago. Recently it had been overheating quite rapidly and so I decided to take a look under the hood thinking that there was probably a lot of dust accumulated.

Sadly, I wasn't exposed to how ribbon cables are to be attached and I ended up ruining the touchpad ribbon cable.

I've been trying to figure out what to search for :(
There seem to be a lot of ribbon cables on ebay and I'm not sure whether they're all the same or whether I should be looking to purchase a very specific one..

Here's the information I managed to gather when I had opened up my laptop.

Synaptics 920-000842-01RevA TM 540 (I believe this was on what I think is the touchpad board)
50.4HV06.001 JH20110317 (this was on the ribbon cable)

Is this the correct cable to purchase? (I feel $7 for a tiny cable like this is a ripoff..would like some expert's view on this)
