Hi. I'm searching for a laptop to use for college. My old one doesn't have the specs to keep up. I need a laptop that can utilize my ASUS VS248H-P monitor while having programs like Spotify, Hearthstone, and multiple tabs of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox up.

I did find one laptop, the Lenovo G505s 59378837 on Newegg for $449 but it ran out of stock while I was in the middle of purchasing it and I don't know if it will ever come back in stock because of how short laptops stay relevant in the market.

I heard from one of my computer friends that I'll need at least a dedicated graphics card to be able to run my monitor without lag but all the laptops I've checked out come with integrated graphics card in my budget range(a soft $500 and probably a hard $600 but I can be persuaded to go up). A laptop that either has a dedicated graphics card or an powerful enough integrated card where the lag that comes with running my monitor will be negligible is important. Also, it'd be ideal if it can play PC game like Borderlands 2, Payday 2, and Hearthstone. If it can play all 3 at a low to medium range at 30-60 fps, that be more than enough for me.

Everything else (battery life, hard drive and hard drive speed, RAM,) can be average or below average for what my budget is.

Alright, that frees up a lot of wriggle room if you're not searching for a GPU. To be honest, I can only give you tips on what to look for, as i know the most about gaming laptops and ultrabooks. However, i can tell you what to look for. AMD's A8 and A10 will serve you well. My laptop uses an A8 CPU and it's quite zippy. A6 may be acceptable, however. On the Intel side, go for i5 or better and don't go for it if the processor model ends in 'u' as it signifies ultralow voltage, meaning less heat generated, longer battery life but less power. i5 is the minimum I'd go for to power two monitors, i3 is just a touch slow. Hope this helps, mate!

I don't really need all those features for my laptop. It'll primarily be used for college purposes so my priority for a laptop would be a fast processing speed so I can use my ASUS monitor without a hitch and run multiple programs at the same time. I can skimp out on this like RAM memory and hard drive space. Gaming is more of an afterthought.
