This is bizarre, and has been happening for a while. At some point, my computer began this trend of freezing, and I mean completely. Say I'm playing a game, the entire screen freezes for around 1-2 minutes before coming back. This happens at random times, whether I'm playing a game of a video on YouTube. Also, once in a while I get the error that my display driver has stopped responding.

Now of course most people will suggest installing the newest drivers etc. But heres what makes this bizarre - It only happens at home. When I am at college in Philladelphia, the computer never freezes. Not once has it ever happened , but the second I get home, it starts. What could possibly cause this?

tl;dr - Computer only freezes while I am home, completely fine when out of state.

This is quite bizzarre. I read through the thread you posted once again and you mentioned that 'display driver has stopped responding'. That is an issue I came through before when I used my old dedicated graphics card (Radeon 4830). When I play this specific game, it stops responding and THAT error message comes along with '...... and recovered'. So I highly assume it is the graphics card then. I had to upgrade mine (Radeon 7770) and viola! That error message NEVER came back ever again. That is the final option I have for you. Maybe try with integrated graphics or install...

OK, maybe try connecting the computer with another power cable instead. Also make sure the room temperature is warm and not hot, not good for the system.

Specs -

Intel Core i5 2450M CPU 2.50 GHz
8GB ram
Win 7 64 bit
Intel HD 3000

Is an asus laptop. Also the game is irrelevant, as I should have specified that it happens with all games.
Also, I know my laptop isn't the best, but that makes no difference since I don't have this issue while at school. No freezes, nothing.
