Dropped my assus laptop on the carpet and the monitor is blank. Any ideas to get it back?

I dropped my Assus laptop from about a foot and a half onto the carpet. The screen is dark but the computer souns like its booting up just fine. Any ideas?

I did this with an older dell laptop at one point, the video cable became unplugged from the motherboard, I just had to pop open the case and plug it back in. You should search online for a service manual for that laptop for instructions on how to open it up. My cables were above the keyboard but each laptop is different, there will be a video data cable and a power cable for the screen, either or could have come lose.

On hands over you laptop i would :
- dissassemble the laptop
- reconnect all modules - RAM , CPU , HDD , LCD , KBD , Touchpad , Battery
- put back all

If there is no any life-light on it -> look for service center .....
