Hi,
I own a HP dv5 1036tx laptop which I bought back in 2008.
Its been overheating for a long time during regular usage and now sometimes doesn't even power up (the lights blink and then nothing happens).
So I decided to open it up and try cleaning it. This is the first time I've ever opened up a laptop and after following some tutorials I managed to do it and clean out the fan/heatsink and apply new thermal paste.
On the reassembly part though, I'm currently stuck on how to reconnect the ribbon cables to the motherboard - they're LIF connectors if I understand right - for a picture see post no. 6 on this tutorial thread:

It's the MB ribbon cables - to disassemble it was simply pulling them out gently but I can't seem to put them back in and can not figure if there is something I have to release or something in order to allow the cable to go in.
Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.
