I custom built my PC a few weeks ago, mainly to game and record on. But recently all my recording software drops my fps to 2fps on every single game.

It did this once, but I fixed it somehow, but It's doing it again, and this time I cant fix it. Please don't say it's my specs because I have a GTX 780ti, 16gb ram, i7 4770k processor. AND I recorded fine before.

I've noticed lately that games that don't run on the steam engine drop to about 10-15 fps, and source games drop to 1-5 fps. Anyways, my fps shouldn't really drop at all. I have used Fraps and Dxtory. I really want to use Dxtory because I love it so much, I just wish it would work.

I have tried numerous setting inside the software, but all same result.

Post what you have and we will take it from there. Also what Mobo do you have (so i can determine is if has some software that will help you monitor the temps)

So save you sometime.

Layout your whole rig also (case, mobo, memory etc etc)

Thanks

When I first start my computer, I can record fine. But If I open up any program it drops to 2 automatically. Im going to turn my PC off, let it cool down, and then restart it, and take a screenshot of the temps

Judging by your screen shots you temps are good. You GTX is 70C (under 80C is fantastic at full load) and you CPU is as cool as a cucumber at it current load (under 50C).

Do you have any antivirus software running in the background (that tends to cause dips on the recording), and see if you can disable the Indexing Options in windows

I dont know what the problem is. As soon as I turned on my PC, I loaded up Minecraft, loaded up my recording software. It was recording at 60fps wasn't going down at all. Then a pop up message came up, and it went straight to 13fps, and was locker there. Even when the message went away. 13fps is what is goes to for MC, 2fps is what it goes to for any other game.

Two antivirus? last time i heard, one was enough :). In the screenshot you showed, you were recording.

Try disabling the antivirus as you're recording and check what FPS you get. (i can guarantee it will increase big time)

Best Luck

So far so good. I killed my antivirus and Ive been recording fine for about 10 minutes. Many pop ups have came, and it still doesn't drop 30 fps. Now Im getting on the internet, and going to try a different game, and see what happens

Well, its going back to 13fps on minecraft..

Even with all antivirus killed. I even uninstalled it. It has to be a heat problem. Every time I start my PC, its like a fridge, and it records fine. As soo as I open the internet or some programs, my PC is instantly hot, and it cant record
