My laptop screen isn't working. :(

How do i fix my laptop screen to work again without replacing the L.C.D.screen . When it's powered up. I don't get no picture at all. All i get is a light black screen with colored lines going down the screen. I have a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5907. Can some one please help me get my laptop back working properly!

Hi, if you can try an external monitor, if you have the same picture, then your GPU could be defective. But if on an external monitor the picture is alright, the screen or the cable could be the problem.

If the cable is defective, you will see some damage on the cable, around the hinge of the lid where the cable is passing through. But i think your screen is defective. You can check also the connection, unplug the cable from your screen and plug it back to see for a bad connection.

Yes, you have a good picture on the external monitor, then your GPU is good, your screen should be defective from the problem you have.
