Probably not.
Minimum requirements look like GTX 670M or HD 6800M.

Vincent is right. There's no way iGPUs are up to the stage where they can play demanding titles like that.

For your reference here is a list of some videos of games that played with the Intel HD 4400.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=intel%20hd%...

The following is a video for GTA 4 on a laptop with a Core i3-3110m CPU and Intel HD 4000 graphics core. The current generation Intel HD 4400 is a little more powerful, but keep in mind that the Intel HD 4400 is still considered weak compared to modern dedicated graphics chips. You can use it to help you determine if it performs / looks good enough for you to play GTA 4 with a HD 4400 graphics core.

Yes, it will run between 30-40 FPS. It lags a little but is playable

Extremely unlikely. The developers recommend a GPU with 512mb of memory. Generally, this means we'll be looking at desktop 500 series, like the 550 or 560. Intel 4600 would be barely playable, but I doubt 4400 would play on 1366x766. Maybe save up for a more powerful model, or give us your budget so we can find a better fit for you.

I wouldn't count on it. Only 8 GB of internal storage. Or are you confusing that with RAM? Because I think the game is going to require more then 8 GB storage alone. Heck, your operating system should take up more than that. What is the RAM? And what kind of I5 (what mhz) is it? But honestly, no matter what you say I don't think that graphics card is going to cut it. I don't know if you could even run GTA IV. Possibly on low settings.

Actually, I would suspect it could. Not at any high settings. But play with the setting, especially the resolutions. If you can stand lower resolutions, modern games are good at improving performance at lower resolutions. I doubt you will be able to get higher than 2x AA and low textures. But, totally doable.

G'day mate.

All I can say is don't... DON"T... get your hopes up. It is not a graphics card. It is and integrated graphics chip built into the CPU. I would guess that while it might just barely run some games on certain reduced settings. It will not be a happy experience. If your last computer was a commodore 64 then you might notice a slight improvement. lol.

I'm saying this so you you don't take some of the "maybe" and "possibly" tones in the previous posts as a yes. Its a maybe which lives next door to a guy called NO!

I also forgot that it is a laptop that your looking at. I've seen GTA V played on laptop with dedicated 650m graphics and, from my perspective it still looked as appealing as a projector on a sink full of dirty dish water. (exaggerated but still not good)

Don't do it Luke! You do not want to be up poop creek without a paddle. If anything you want overkill.
In this case you need serious info.

Unfortunately if the integrated gpu was good enough for modern aaa games then people wouldn't blow another $500+ on external gpus.

Yes. It will support. I have a Dell Vostro 15 3546 with i3 4005u 1.7GHz and Intel HD 4400 2gb. I can play BF4 and AC Black Flag with resolution 1280x600 with medium settings and Min FPS of 30 which is playable.

You're better off getting laptop with dedicated GPU....Even a laptop with entry level GPU such as GT 720m or Radeon 8670m will blow HD 4400 out of the water and cost difference will probably be just around $40-$50......Only Intel GPU's that can run modern Games at playable FPS are HD 5100 and HD 5200 but you'll have to buy high end i7's to get those GPU's and it'll be cheaper to get I5 with dedicated a gpu...

Intel HD 4400 will let you play many games, but most of them only on low settings and resolutions. For more information and a list of popular games you can play with Intel HD 4400 check out this article:

Games Playable on Intel HD Graphics

If you are seriously into gaming I recommend you get at least a middle class dedicated GPU such as GeForce 740m or even better a GeForce 840m, which is about 30% faster than 740m.
