Hi guys,

I'm at a complete loss of what to do. My Acer Aspire S7 is less than a year old, yet when I unplug it from an outlet it shuts itself down after about 5 minutes. I already replaced the battery weeks ago, and have un-installed and re-installed drivers, booted into safe mood (when I unplugged it, it shut right down) and updated everything in the driver area. I also scanned with Kaspersky for any viruses, etc. and cleaned up with CCleaner as well. Still nothing.

The computer is practically new, never been dropped...could it be possible that the motherboard is shot? I have no idea what to try next.

Sounds off hand as though your voltage regulation has taken a turn for the worse but you should still be under warranty (I believe Acer is 1 year) and be able to get it repaired by Acer.
If you are no longer under warranty, a professional computer repair shop (not a big chain outfit, they won't help here) may be able to repair it or at least let you know what is wrong (I would think)
