Graphics - the memory AMOUNT doesn't mean anything

whats the actual GPU brand/series/model

ASUS and Dell make great units

Get something with Windows regardless if you want Ubuntu - keep your options open, plus its cheaper when Windows comes with the unit then purchasing it after, and resale value will be higher etc

I am not purchasing windows. I already have one.
Dell have AMD RADEON HD 8670M
And Asus have Nvidia Geforce GT 720M
