My HP Pavilion g6 laptop is a couple years old. Recently, the screen began to flicker for ten or so seconds at a time. I ignored it and kept working. When I turned my laptop on a few days ago, the screen became extremely dim at the start up screen. I can just barely make out an image (at the logon screen) and am unable to use the computer. I tried to increase the brightness but it didn't change a thing. It has been like this for almost a week, now. What is the problem and what am I looking at for pricing? I need this fixed soon and can't buy a new laptop. Is there anyway to fix it myself?
