Opening MPC-HC mutes browser sound

So recently I added madvr, reclock, lav, xysubfilter to MPC-HC. Now I realize that whenever I open a video with MPC HC, my entire browser audio mutes. Youtube plays no sound. I have to close MPC HC and refresh my browser several times for sound to restore but opening a video with MPC HC causes the problem again. It seems there should be an easy fix to this but I can't see to find it. Any ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling all that stuff you added?

I recommend doing that, and MPC-HC, then only use the latest K-Lite Codec Pack. If you still have problems, rollback to an earlier RESTORE POINT if possible (System Restore).

I don't believe it has to do with codec pack as I'm using LAV for audio. Yes I tried uninstalling all the stuff already and the same thing happens.

It seems like something you installed changed some settings, or added a plugin so that opening WMP-HC mutes other audio (or it's just a glitch).

So here's my full recommendation:

0. System Restore Point just prior to the problem (if possible)

Other:

1. Remove all audio plugins
2. Remove WMP-HC (or just the K-Lite Pack if it's part of that)
3. Remove any ADDONS or PLUGINS to the browser if any look suspicious for this problem
4. Reset the browser default settings (can Google that)
5. Try other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE) to see if they are affected.
6. Install the K-Lite Codec Pack (STANDARD unless you need something in the Full or MEGA version)

If you still have issues, try VLC instead, but when installing uncheck anything it can affect like browsers or auto-launching DVD etc.

The addons for MPC HC which I just uninstalled seem to do it but I wanted to keep them for better performance. I didn't install the K Lite Pack of MPC HC. This affected all browsers so I don't think this is limited to one browser.

I don't really get what these addons do for you anyway.
