Connecting a subwoofer to my PC

So I've got this semi-old JVC subwoofer in my basement. I have a pair of two speakers on my computer right now but I want a little more bass. I will give the model number of the sub soon but I can't at the moment.

The sub has a "subwoofer out" plug, and an AC power cable. It was originally meant for TV theater applications and such, but I want to know if there's any way to hook it up to my computer in conjunction with my speakers. Pretty sure my motherboard only has one external speaker output, so I need a way to wire all this stuff together and make them all connect to this single port.

Any suggestions?

Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A (no sound card)
Current speakers: Logitech X-140

If your mobo has only a single 2 channel audio output you will need to split it and feed your speakers and the sub. One of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Adapter-Stereo-Headphone-Splitter/dp/B0047T79M2
and and additional audio cable with stereo mini plug at one end, 2 RCA plugs at the other (you only use one of these - doesn't matter which). You will need to adjust your system volume from the PC as jb6644 says.
If you had a subwoofer out on the mobo it would work better.

Yeah, just need a cable to connect 3.5mm (mono) plug to most likely single or dual RCA plugs

Then connect subwoofer out on your motherboard.

BIG issue is, changing the volume level. You can use the Mixer in Window 7 or the "input level" on your subwoofer (IF your sub has one) THE pain is, you will have a different volume on your X-140 and the sub. i.e. you have to tweak two (2) volume controls every time
