Am I getting a good price for this?

Dell Inspiron 15 Intel Celeron 1.6GHz 15.6" LED-Backlit Laptop, model no. i15RV-1906BLK, for $229.99. That's $100 under yesterday's similar mention (which had a DVD burner) and the lowest price we've seen for a new Inspiron 15. It features an Intel Celeron 1017U 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 15.6" 1366x768 LED-backlit LCD, 4GB RAM, 320GB hard drive, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, webcam, media card reader, 4-cell battery, and Windows 8 64-bit. No optical drive is included.

$230 for a new laptop? If you are satisfied with it's limitations, sure.

It is pretty minimally powered, though. Don't expect any real gaming on this thing.

It's a good price, but you need to make sure you understand what you are buying and therefore what sort of performance you should expect.

Are you planning to use an external monitor?

the difference of 720p & 1080p videos are minimal on that laptop since it has max resolution of

1366x768 - HD-1280x720 - you lose 86x48 of resolution in fullscreen
1366x768 - F.HD-1920x1080 you gain that 86x48 in full screen but you lose 554x312 since that screen only supports 1366x768

edit : you wouldnt notice the difference
