My laptop screen is messed up

When I turned my laptop on about 3 weeks ago the screen was a lot of different colors including red, green, and blue but mainly black. I dropped it once but it was okay as I took it to the library a few days later, then a day or two after I took it to the library the screen was messed up. Do you think it was a virus or was it something that I did? P

Sometimes after a moderate fall, damage doesn't always manifest itself straight away. The fall may have created a weak spot in a connection somewhere, but it's taken a while for that weak point to eventually fail altogether. You'll need to have it checked out at a repair centre, but get an estimate for repairs before letting them repair it so you can decide whether or not it's worth the cost.
