Hi, I would really appreciate your help.

So, the problem is that when excel creates a link to a certain workbook, it uses the absolute path (C:/program files/something_I_want.xlsx), but if the target is moved to another folder the hyperlink doesn't work anymore. I do realize that this is pretty straight forward, but I'm looking for a way to create permanent links to another document, without creating the path. Just something like:
PRESS ME --> FILE_which_is_anywhere.xlsx

Thanks in advance

There is no way for Excel to know that the file was moved somewhere else. Imagine you copy your file to a USB key, then go to another computer. How you would like the link to look like?

So, your options are: Don't move the target file, use relative links (I think you can edit them to be relative), or use e.g. data-base for it (if that file contains an actula database)
