I am thinking about buying these laptops from eBay (new):
1).http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321278401683 -£450 after shipping and tax
2). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291050668302 -£610 after shipping and I tax
I have to pay expensive shipping and tax since I live in UK and Vizio are US only. My question is are either of the vizio laptops worth it compared to something like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00F93MBXC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1389057930&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165 -£450
These vizio laptops have 1080p IPS displays but have no warranty, whereas the lenovo has 2 year warranty and is a easily returnable.
Are the vizio laptops worth it?

Vizio is a budget oriented US based electronics company. The first time I have seen that brand name was for HDTVs. I did not even know they sell laptops. I cannot say what their product quality is like since I never really bother even doing research on any of their products.

If Vizio was locally sold in the UK, then I would say give it a test drive, but because you are not going to be covered by the warranty, my advice is to simply avoid it.

I actually recommend that you checkout your own backyard and look at MedionPC laptops. They mostly sell their own brand, but they seem to also sell other brand names like Lenovo. Below is a link to their site of laptops which costs between 400 - 640 quids...

At the top of the range you can buy the MEDION AKOYA P6815 for 629 quids. It comes with a 3rd generation quad core i7-3630QM, a nVidia GT 650m, and a 1920x1080 resolution matte finish (not glossy.... damn annoying if you ask me) screen. Plus a 1 year warranty. I do not know how good MedionPC laptops are since they seem to be only sold in the UK. Note, it has better specs than the Vizio you linked to.
