My hp laptop sadly after it got louder and contained too much dust, i disassembled it and removed the dust and everything went fine as normal
I wanted to make sure the power button film connector is attached so i plugged in the cord to try, whilst doing so i accidentally removed the screen connector and since then its dead. the power indicator led is not on
I took it to the shop, the guy kept searching for the faulty point with his avometer, he still cant find which ic is mucked up or what, i am asking here as a desperate attempt maybe someone has an experience with this
Thanks in advance
PS. I tried a diff power supply and diff cord and resetted and all that, to no avail...
This is where the repair shop think the problem as it is the last point where theres any voltage

Then start hunting for another board or cut your losses, you can still recover your data from the drive even bookmarks. This is why I avoid HP/Compaq laptops as they often has issues that can't be fixed even Macs are better than this.

It is possible that there may have been a failure when the cable was pulled but if it were off when it happened then it is not the cause. Did you knock anything off when taking the board out? Even a simple grounding issue can cause problems like this so take the board out and try to turn it on then. I had to do that to fix a Elitebook 2730p that way. Have the cpu and ram installed when you try it.
