Hi,

I have just bought a Panasonic HC-V510 camcorder. The current model is the HC-V520, but the only difference between the two is that mine doesn't have WiFi. When i was in the shop looking at the other camcorders, i noticed that nearly all of them switched on automatically as soon as the screen was folded outwards. On my new Panasonic i am unable to find a option in the menus which would allow me to do this. Does anyone here know whether Panasonic camcorders support this feature, and if so, how to access it? Having an automatic switch on would be really good, because it is quite difficult and time consuming to press the little power button on the side of the device.

Thanks. :)

Thanks very much, it worked as soon as i tried it. The camera goes into a standby mode and the LED light turns green indicating this. When i pull out the screen while the camera is in this state, the lens cover opens and the display comes on instantly, ready to record. Cheers! :D
