My sister recieved a brand new Asus X550 series, with no preinstalled OS. (i5-4200u, gt740m, 4gb RAM, 750GB HDD)
She gave it to me to set it up.
Installed Windows 7, all the necessary drivers etc. After downloading the latest nvidia driver and the final restart, Device Manager says : "Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems" . All the Windows updates were up to date.
I even tried the Driver Sweeper(in safe mode) method and after that installing an earlier driver. Still the same result.
Can i try something else or should I just send it back? Remember, the laptop is brand new, this shouldn't be happening.
