I have been reading Adobe After Effects CS6 Classroom In A Book so far learned some basics of importing and saving projects in case of a shut off power you know, like always re name stuff so it could be less confusing.

Trying to memorize the whole app window like time graph, graphed info and audio panel.
Time line, etc.
but kinda getting boring

I wanna learn about Adobe After Effects before I purchase the software then dive into advance editing and such.

But Adobe After Effects looks so plain and just like blah I feel I won't do a good job on editing in the future with Adobe After Effects, should I read about Final Cut Pro X? for Mac?

The better choice, between After Effects and Premiere Pro, is Premiere Pro for video editing. After Effects is not an editor as much as it is a program for creating special effects. You really can't compare After Effects to Final Cut Pro X as they are two totally different programs. A more reasonable comparison would be between Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro X.

The software is but a tool. How well can you use it?

Make something. Then make it better. Make something else. Then make that better.

A hammer and chisel are but tools. I can maybe make something with them. Michelangelo can make something glorious with those exact same tools.

Stop reading so much. Make something. Then make some more.
