Hey Tom's Hardware community!

I come to you with an age-old question-leaving a laptop plugged in constantly. I just got this computer for christmas: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V5-572G-6679-15-6-inch-Laptop/dp/B00DKFFFXO

While I am pretty sure this laptop has the protections put into place so that it does not constantly recharge when plugged in (thus killing the battery), I wanted to ask the expert community here just to be safe. As i am led to believe, newer laptops have said safeguards built in to prevent constant recharging.

Is this the case? Thanks!

Don't worry about it, you can leave it plugged in and it has protection to stop charing when fully charged. Moreover, since it is a Lithium battery, it will not develop a memory like older Ni-Cad batteries.
