CCTV Saving To Server But Not PC

Hello,

Apologies if this isn't the correct category for this kind of question, wasn't really sure where to put it.

We are setting up an IP CCTV system in our office at the moment, and there is a desktop PC setup now to be used for managing the CCTV and storing the footage. But, I can't get the CCTV to export to this PC, I can connect to the CCTV and interact with the GUI but whenever I try to export to the C:\\ it fails, and the log for the CCTV says "authorization failed to start streaming" - if I change the export directory to one on one of the Server it exports absolutely fine.

I have to assume that it's a permissions issue, but I can't see why that would be. I've given all users complete access to the specified folder in the hopes that it would export OK, but not joy as of yet.

It's a 3S CCTV System.

Can anyone offer some insight?

Thanks,

Matt.

I've not resolved this yet, but have an update in case it helps anyone else!

So running the browser interface for the camera (connecting directly to it's IP) I can't get the footage to save to the C:\\ drive. But if I access the browser interface from another PC, I CAN save the footage to the original PC's C:\\ drive but not the C:\\ drive of the PC the interface is open on. I tried this the other way around as well (saving to the second PC's C:\\ drive with the interface open on the original PC) and this worked too.

I'm really very confused... But this is serving as a work around for now.

Thanks,

Matt.

Another - slightly better - work around for this one.

I'm still not sure what's causing the issue but. If you run IE Tab in Chrome it works just fine. I think IE Tab runs the tab as though it was IE8, and both machines have 10 installed. I don't really understand why this would make a difference, but decided to give it a shot anyway and it works.

Weird...
