Front vs back panel?

I have the steelseries siberia v2 headset and I'm going to use my onboard Realtek Acl 887 audio on my motherboard (not interested in sound cards, I'm no audiophile and don't have the money). So I was wondering where I should connect my headset, into the Front Panel near my DVD drive, or the back panel directly into my mobo? What's the difference? Will there be any volume/sound quality difference?

it doesn't matter whether you connect to the front or rear, sound quality should be the same. Most people find it more convenient to use the front panel unless you will be leaving the headset plugged in all the time.
