You'll need a processor (HSW Intel Core i7/i5/i3 mobile processors) Like the I7 640M (http://www.ebay.com/bhp/intel-core-i7-640m)
You'll need memory DDR III 1600Mhz (http://www.ebay.com/bhp/8gb-1600mhz-ddr3-sdram)
You'll need a drive - consider a Seagate hybrid over a pure SSD (like http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seagate-ST1000LM014-SSHD-8GB-1TB-SATA-6Gbps-64MB-Laptop-Hybrid-Disk-Drive-/261379272961?pt=US_Internal_Hard_Disk_Drives&hash=item3cdb6b3101) for more storage for less money.
You'll need an operating System Installation disk

Do not buy that CPU.

The laptop is for a Haswell (4th) generation mobile Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU. The above CPU is a 1st generation mobile Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU. It will not fit in the motherboard.

Below is a link to Intel's datasheet of the HM86 chipset. Click the "Compatible Products" link on the left side of the page to see the CPUs that can be used which ranges between lowly Celeron CPUs like the Celeron 2980U (around $110) all the way to the Core i7-4930MX (about $1,100).

I am also looking at piecing together this barebones laptop. However, as I do not have a tremendous amount of money to do it with, I would like confirmation that these parts will work:

RAM - 16gb (2x8gb) 1600MHz SODIMM RAM (Ebay)

CPU - i3-4000m 2.4 GHz (Ebay)

SSD - 2.5" 128gb ADATA (Newegg)

I also have a couple questions pertaining to this barebones:
1. Does it support NVIDIA mobile GPUs for a future upgrade? If so, which ones?
2. Would you recommend a bigger Hybrid instead of that SSD? I am generally very good about being careful with my laptops, but I still would hate to lose the data.

Thank you in advance!
