I am trying to replace my old Macbook Pro 2011 with a nicer laptop. It has to be windows, needs to have a good graphics card, a good size storage, and thin. I have seen the Razer Blade Pro, but I don't think that the 1920x1080p is enough for me. I have seen the dell XPS 15, and I really like how it is 3k. I don't really care if it is SUPER thin, but it can't be a 12 pound brick. As far as school, it has to be reliable and not crazily fragile. For price, I am looking from anywhere but no more than 2-2.5k. If you could give me some options, I would highly appreciate it.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
I just need a good laptop with a nice graphics card and good resolution that'll work well for school and isn't too heavy/pricey.

Tiburonjack, just checking bro. Your best bet are to buy those MSI ones. Most 2k and 3k resolution Windows laptops have integrated junk GPUs. If you're thinking about the MSI ones, they should be 780m GPUs. Most come with an mSATA SSD.

What???? You want a laptop that's thin but doesn't have to be SUPER thin, AND it has to be BETTER than 1029x1080p because you don't think that's enough and it has to be in the 3k range as in 3,000+ resolution range??? Just making sure you know that 1080p is standard for "high" resolution laptops.

So a really fast laptop, thin, not heavy, super fast video card and like 3,000 resolution? Just checking.

Country of origin?

Dude I am not a noob with computers and I'm from the U.S. for your information. I know a lot about desktops, but I don't know much about laptops. If you can contribute to this thread, go ahead. I know 1080p is high, but I am looking for a super high resolution just for the lulz, plus gaming. As far as super thin, I didn't say that. I said that I don't want a brick that weighs 10 pounds that I have to stuff in my locker everyday, thus me saying that I wan't something on the thinner side.

Yes....... there are 3k resolution ones. May I ask, do you have a lot of knowledge with computers, or are you new to the pc world?

P.S. The one with the 3k is made by MSI
