While among the best, Adobe Premier takes a lot of effort to learn, as do all of the better non linear video editing programs (NLE). If you want to try a NLE, try a free one that is pretty good, easy is another issue, from HERE.

If that is too much, you can go back to Movie Maker or Camtasia Studio, which has some pretty good online tutorials.

What if Sony Vegas Pro 12 vs Cyberlink PowerDirector?

I had been using Vegas for a while but wanna try something different and which should not be complicated. I installed Cyberlink seems easy and straight forward but havnt tried Vegas 12! What u say?

For reasonably priced editing software you could consider one of the following:

Corel Video Studio Pro X6 (Regular and Ultimate versions): http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod49...

Adobe Premiere Elements 12: http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements.html?kw...!3085!3!31226892794!b!!g!!adobe%20premiere%20elements&ef_id=Up6kuQAABEBjBX07:20131204035150:s

Pinnacle Studio 17 (there are Plus and Ultimate versions as well): http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/studi...

Sony Movie Studio 12: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiopp?keyco...

Free ones to consider:
Lightworks: http://www.lwks.com/ (there is a free version and the pro version for $60 per year)
Wondershare: http://www.wondershare.net/ad/video-editor-win/?gclid=C...
ezvid: http://www.ezvid.com/

I'm sure this is by no means a comprehensive list but at least it's a starting point.

These are suggestions I had made in another post: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1911602/movie-maker-editor-apps-lots-effects-transitions.html
