1- try windows repair assuming youre running windows. (Put the dvd and choose the repair option)
2- try booting from an external hdd with an os installed on it (fix boot priority from bios)
3- try booting from a ubuntu dvd
4- if all the above fails then I personally think it could be a motherboard problem. If any of the above works it most probably is your hdd. Try formatting it and installing a fresh copy of your OS if the problem persists try another hdd in your laptop.
