Hey everyone,

I am looking into purchasing a new laptop and have narrowed my list down to two (maybe three) choices. Below are must haves and wants - please feel free to chime in with feedback or ideas for better options.

Must haves:
- light
- portable
- great screen
- great keyboard
- great battery life
- great quality build (I will be taking it to work each day)
- fast and reliable
- haswell processor
- ssd/flash memory (128-256 is enough, I am not too concerned about space)

Wants:
- good for light to medium gaming (this was a major priority before, but the list above has trumped this, as I have a very good gaming desktop, but still would be nice.
- i7 processor (just because? As you will see below two options will have an i5)

My max budget is $1500, but of course I would prefer to stay lower.

This is what I have narrowed it down to thus far:

1.) GIGABYTE P34G-CF1 ($1371 from GentechPC):
- 14" 16:9 1920X1080 IPS Full HD LED backlight
- 4th Gen Intel Haswell Core i7-4700HQ, 2.4~3.4GHz, 22nm, 6MB, 47W
- 12 GGB DDR3
- nVidia GeForce GTX 760M 2GB GDDR5 DX11 + Intel HD4600
- 128GB mSATA SSD X1 SATA III 6Gb/s
- 1000GB 5400rpm 2.5-inch 9.5mm 8MB SATA II 3Gb/s
- Battery: Li-polymer, 11.1V (47.73Wh)

2.) 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display ($1399):
- 2.4GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz
- 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
- 256GB PCIe-based flash storag
- Intel Iris Graphics

3.) 13-inch MacBook Air ($1249)
- 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
- Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz
- Intel HD Graphics 5000
- 4GB memory
- 256GB flash storage

4.) Your idea...?

Thanks in advance,

Tom
