help recover password from a laptop i bought

Hi, I'm trying to recover the main password on a gateway laptop I bought from my neighbor. Her brother is supposed to text us the password but hasn't got back to us. Is there a way I can override this?? Please help cause I don't wanna just throw my money away

You'll just have to wait for the brother to get back to you. Can't help with that.

An alternative read on this might be:
"Hi, I'm trying to recover the main password on a gateway laptop I found. Is there any way I can override this?"
