ASUS factory settings

Im selling my laptop, and want to return it to factory settings, when I reboot and press f9 I get nothing... Are there any other options, the modle I have is Q500A-BH17T05

If you're still running it with Windows 8 then you need to create a recovery drive within Windows first, then boot off that. The Asus recovery partition is not bootable for Windows 8 machines.

Alternatively (and much simpler), you can use the Reset function: http
