Help! I just finished 4 sessions today and tried loading my pics in Lightroom. The card wouldn't read at all and then I tried to down load the images from my camera to the computer. The display on my camera says FOR in the area where it normally shows the amount of images left. I already tried a card recovery program and the card isn't reading at all!

Solution
After you formatted your card it is possible to get the pictures back.

First, please immediately stop taking new pictures on the same memory card. If you are on a trip and need to take new pictures, try to use a new memory card.

Second, download and try CardRecovery software from our website (Download). It will perform a quick scan of your formatted memory card, and list the recoverable pictures in minutes. CardRecovery does not write anything to your memory card, so it is safe to try.

I have found this solution:

Okay... I went looking online because I had the same problem. I couldn't find anything that was solving my problem. Then I stumbled onto a solution on my own. We have Adobe and I noticed that when I right clicked the drive that came up as my SD card, it gave me some options. That option was "Combine supported files in Acrobat..." So I chose this and a box called "Combine Files" appeared and in the box, low and behold, there were all of my pictures, all 403 of them. I then clicked on "Add Folders" in the upper left drop down, created a folder, and changed it back to "Add Files." Then I clicked on "Combine Files" and the program sent all of the photos into a single pdf file. I then went into the pdf file's File Menu>Export>Image>JPEG>Save As. It then shot all 403 pics out as jpegs. It worked!

Obviousely, this will not work if you don't have Adobe, but I bet you know somebody that does. This will work and it will save your important pics. I hope this helped!

Ok so I just tried. I went to Adobe and it doesn't give me the option to "Combine Files" but it does give me the option to open files and when I try each time it tells me the card needs to be formatted. Also, in one area there was a spot that showed a pie chart indicating the card was full. Crazy question but could I format the card and then try to use my card recovery program lolol because aren't the files still there until written over? It just keeps telling me it needs to be formatted. Thanks so much for you're help :) If not, is there someone you could recommend me sending it to recover the files?
