Hello to all. Im need of advice for a gaming laptop.

Im currently traveling to the USA and my little brother wants me to buy him a gaming laptop. He has been working all year and has earned 1500 dolars for it.

He say he wants an Alienware 14 but im wanted to ask is that is the best option for him but as i dont know a lot about PCs.

He wants it to play assassins creed IV, GTA V and FarCry 3 in the best possible configurations.

Weigh of the Laptop is not a factor as he is gonna use it mostly as a home PC.but it needs to be a laptop as i cannot buy a desktop PC and bring it home

Thank you fo any answer

No, but, you can get the MSI GE Series GE70 2OE-071US (Win 7, with 1TB 7200 drive) or the MSI GE Series GE70 2OE-017US (Win 8 with 750GB 7200 drive), at TigerDirect for $1,049.99. Get them before they run out! Newegg and other places sell them for about $1,300.00+. That's a $250-$300 discount!

Why get a 15 inch, 500GB 5400 RPM drive with a DVD player and 8GB RAM for $1,000+ when you can get a friggen 750GB/1TB 7200 RPM drive *and* Blu-ray *and* 17.3 inch *and* 12GB+ *and* under 7 pounds for $1,049.99????? The sale is not going to last forever. Thank me later.

Buy a $79 Munchkin mSATA SSD from Newegg (on sale now.. normally $109.99) and your laptop will be screaming fast.

If weight and size aren't an issue then the Alienware 14 inch is a good choice. It has nice components and cools itself well. Might be worth upgrading the display, though.

You could also look at laptops from resellers like xoticpc, gentech, etc and look at some of the laptops they have there.
