I'd like to have an app and possibly an extension developed (chrome extension/add on). I am pretty good with technology but I understand that this is a bit outside of my ability so I'd like to pay someone to do it. What would be a good way of getting started with this? I was thinking post up a craigslist add and then talk to whoever is interested. Any other suggestions? This is more of a small time/hobby question, I'm NOT trying to do anything large scale. Thanks.

Thanks rgd, those look like some pretty great resources. I would like to do this mostly in person and locally, rather than have someone work exclusively over the internet. This is more of a hobby for me so I would like to watch in person at least a little bit to better understand the process.
