Hi,
I have Sony Bravia KLV 32V400A TV and Sony BDV E3100 Home Theatre System.Connected the TV through 3.5mm (GREEN) port to HT using 3.5mm Stereo to 2RCA cable. But there is no sound in the HT system from the TV. I donot have a HDMI arc or digital output port on my TV. Would appreciate any help here. Thanks :).

Solution
Is the Sony system set to the right input? Did you check the output to make sure it's working and the right one for the source you are using? That model has 3 audio outputs as well as a headphone output, which are you using?

Composite Monitor Out / Audio Out 1
Audio Out 2
Headphone Out 1

- I tried connecting my mobile to HT using the cable and it worked fine
- I tries pluging in the ear phones to TV headphone jack and they worked fine

I believe:
- cable isn't faulty here
- TV jack isn't fau;ty here

On the system i selected Audio System in TV settings. I think I am missing something here.

Are you using an INPUT jack on the home theater from the TV? Make sure the line levels are usable coming from the TV. I tried to use a powered set of speakers on my TV once and it did not work at all, was very low volume even at high settings. Without having the systems there to check the settings it's tough to figure out where the issue is.

You may need to check with Sony about this to make sure the output on the TV will work. Or maybe try a different input on the system.
