I used to have the touchsmart tx2, that is almost identical. Mine originally came with Vista 32, and I was able to successfully load Win 7 64. I really had to hunt to find the right drivers, and there was much trial & error to find the right ones...
There was a forum that I found that had just about everything I was looking for and more, someone (Jollywombat) made an Installer program for all the HP tx2 touch goodies that didn't even originally come with the laptop... I still have the email, but upon checking, the site no longer exists (www.touchsmartdevzone.com) so I can't even provide you with a download link.
I remember having to download 10 different touch drivers before finding one that finally made multi-touch work properly. Your results may be different.
Needless to say, it can be done. You'll have to know how to search for drivers using the hardware Device ID. Check with the HP website (as useless as it may be) to see if they even support Vista 64bit, because many of those drivers will work with 7 64. Some of them will not. Do your research, and be prepared before jumping in...
Wish I had more specific answers for you.
