I have a HP pavilion tx1327 that is now having touch screen problems. this computer is running windows 7 professional 32-bit, but I would like to know if anybody has successfully made it win 7 64 bit. Does Anybody have any advice on how to make this laptop a tablet combo again? The problem came when I deleted the partitions using hirens 15.2 and did a full format and reinstall. It worked fine before I did this and now I'm thinking the factory default partitions held the touch screen drivers. It'd be a shame if I couldn't get it back and only functioned as a laptop.

I used to have the touchsmart tx2, that is almost identical. Mine originally came with Vista 32, and I was able to successfully load Win 7 64. I really had to hunt to find the right drivers, and there was much trial & error to find the right ones...

There was a forum that I found that had just about everything I was looking for and more, someone (Jollywombat) made an Installer program for all the HP tx2 touch goodies that didn't even originally come with the laptop... I still have the email, but upon checking, the site no longer exists (www.touchsmartdevzone.com) so I can't even provide you with a download link. :(

I remember having to download 10 different touch drivers before finding one that finally made multi-touch work properly. Your results may be different.

Needless to say, it can be done. You'll have to know how to search for drivers using the hardware Device ID. Check with the HP website (as useless as it may be) to see if they even support Vista 64bit, because many of those drivers will work with 7 64. Some of them will not. Do your research, and be prepared before jumping in...

Wish I had more specific answers for you.
