Hello everybody

Sorry for this newbie question... I have bought JBL control 1 pro studio monitors (150w, 4ohm) and there is a sale on amplifier Denon DRA 500ae

I want to know if the gear will work properly together and if anyone has experience with any of them specially the Denon DRA 500ae

Will that be fair enough to produce decent music?

Thanks

Solution
Not a problem. You should connect each speaker output to each speaker as the amp and speakers have matching impedance of 4ohms.

2 speakers in series would = 8ohms
having the setup this way will lower the sound output due to the resistance being doubled.

2 speakers in parallel would = 2ohms
having the setup this way will stress the amplifier as you are doubling the load capabilities of the amp.
