I have a Dell Inspiron 15r 5520 (2.2 i7 Quad Core, HD4000 Graphics, and 8 GB of ram). When I first got my laptop (Christmas 2012) here were some of my benchmarks: Minecraft ~150 fps Need For Speed World ~60 fps on ultra 35 fps on Portal 2 on ultra. Now running the same version of Minecraft I am lucky to hit 25 fps. Running a more modern and more optimized from of Need For Speed World I am lucky to hit 30 fps. Some of the changes that I made were: Installing windows 8.1 and just a few other miscellaneous programs. I also scanned my computer with an antivirus and I ran ccleaner to rule out the possibility of anything being broken. If there is anything that I can do to help fix this with out doing a full restore let me know.

No, the fan runs slower than it used to and the air coming out is colder. Also I am not running any battery saving options.

I got off the phone with them and they said that they would fix it for $134 USD. Unfortunately I do not have $134. Any Ideas?

Don't you have 1 year warranty if you bought it in December last year?

Where have you been keeping your computer? Computers can be damaged if they don't have proper ventilation.

No, the person who bought it for me bought it on Nov 24 (Black Friday) so it just ran out. I only keep my computer on a table, lap, or in a laptop carry bag. Ops I accidentally marked your answer as the best answer do you know how to undo?

Damn....

ARE YOU SAYING MY ANSWERS AREN'T GOOD???

Haha.... I'm new here I don't know how to un-do it

Maybe your computer is running on the integrated graphics card now instead of the dedicated card. This can be a reason. I've read on forums that people had difficulty switching to their dedicated card when they got their computer. To play games the dedicated card is better to use. For some reason you computer might have switched to using the integrated card.
Search up how to view what your computer is using.
